Memorial Lectures |
Following Memorial lectures are delivered in memory of some great personalities who have contributed to the Society by their valuable guidance and advice. 1. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Memorial LectureThis lecture is delivered annually by the invited eminent person in memory of Dr. Rajendra Prasad who was the President right from the inception of the society in the 1947 till the end of 1962. The first lecture was delivered on 28 January, 1965 by Dr. W.D. Hopper of the Ford Foundation at the 18th Annual Conference of the Society held at Thiruvananthapuram. Panse Memorial Lecture The Society instituted a lecture to be delivered annually in memory of Dr. V.G. Panse who
passed away on 22 July 1969. He was a founder member of the Society.
The first lecture in his memory was delivered by Dr. P.V. Sukhatme in 1973 on 'Malnutrition in India'. Every year a distinguished academician is
invited to deliver this lecture. Upto 2022, 41 lectures have been organized.
